If however accuracy and surface finishes are your key drivers then look no further than the Objet Connex 3D Polyjet printer. Polyjet is a layer additive technology with layers as thin as 16 microns.
A carriage with 4 or more inkjet heads and ultraviolet lamps traverses the workspace depositing tiny droplets of photopolymers that solidify when exposed to UV light. After printing a thin layer of material, the process repeats until a complete 3D object is formed.
The Connex family of rapid manufacturing machines were the first 3D printing systems to enable simultaneous jetting of multiple model materials. Connex rapid manufacture machines have the unique ability to print parts and assemblies made of multiple materials in a single build and to create composite Digital Materials™ facilitating closer-than-ever simulation of a wide variety of end products.
Whale 3D currently has two Polyjet printers – the Connex 350 and the Connex 500 both of which incorporate the Polyjet Matrix™ Technology. Using our dedicated team of engineers we can print from a 3D concept to physical parts in as little as 24 hours.
The end result...
- Smooth surface finish and fine details
- Final product look and feel
- Multi-material printing
